THE IVY CABIN.
The Ivy Cabin is the guest house to The Moss House. This beautiful log cabin is tucked in the woods of Montreat. It has since but added to and modernized. During the renovation we’ve tried our best to maintain the warm cabin feel while adding features necessary for your comfort. It is located in the heart of Montreat.
Montreat is the most quant little mountain town that has all the amenities your family could ever ask for; huge playgrounds, public pool, tennis courts, fishing lake, canoes and paddle boats, over 20 maintained hiking trails, over 5 bike trails, campground, a softball field, fair trade shops, and much more. The name Montreat is a derivative of “Mountain-Retreat” because that’s exactly what the town was build for, bringing your family to the Blue Ridge Mountains for the ultimate mountain experience.

The Moss Cabin is a late 1800’s tobacco barn that was transported from North Asheville to Montreat by Mule and buggy in the early 1900’s. This guest cabin was built shortly after.
